Matt and Saffron Grandage have been serving in China since 1999, and have been partners with STwSS since 2005. They are staff workers with an international, interdenominational Christian organisation working in central and western China.

Much of their work involves managing support services (pastoral care, project consultancy, finances, training) for other workers, most of whom are in big cities, though some live in very remote locations.

Matt, Saffron and daughter Alice live in Chengdu, a city of about 5,000,000 people in Sichuan Province. This part of China was in the news in May 2008, when it was hit by a major earthquake.

They are presently on home assignment until August 2010, based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.
