Friends of St Thomas (FROST)

Set up in 2008, FROST is a ‘friends scheme’ to help raise funds for the redevelopment of St Thomas’ Church, Telford Avenue, as a continuing place of Christian worship and offering amenities for the whole community.

You are welcome to attend the following FROST community and fundraising events.

Queen Victoria at Home - 24th April

Tenor Richard Lea and his pianist, Charlotte Way, will once again hold a recital at St Mary's, Balham with a retiring collection on Saturday, 24th April from 6 to 7pm in aid of FROST.

 

Mad Hatter's May Ball, Saturday 1st May

To celebrate completion of Phase 1 of the redevelopment of St Thomas', FROST will be hosting the Mad Hatter's May Ball on Saturday, 1st May 2010 at St Thomas'.    Funds raised will jointly benefit the St Thomas' redevelopment campaign and The Weir Link, a local children's outreach centre supported by St Thomas with St Stephen.    For more details, follow the link:  www.madhattersmayball.com     

 

Bryan College Choir Concert 14th May 2010

The Bryan College Chorale and Chamber Singers return to St Thomas with St Stephen on their fourth European tour to present a concert of sacred choral music on Friday 14th May, at 7.30/8.00pm at St Thomas'. The programme will consist of a variety of sacred literature, including classical, spirituals, gospel and contemporary.

 The Bryan Chorale consists of 34 singers representing several states across North America. Under the direction of Dr. David Luther, the group’s concerts and recordings have been received enthusiastically throughout the United States and four tours to Europe, including Lincoln Center in New York City and Westminster Abbey in London.    All enquiries to:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Oliver Candy Organ Recital

Internationally acclaimed organist Oliver Candy will perform a recital at St Thomas' on Saturday, 26th June to mark the refurbishment of St Thomas' wonderful organ.   More details to follow.
