“What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission, rare in secular culture, to discuss the big questions – life and death and their meaning" The Guardian

What is Alpha Online?

Alpha Online is a series of group conversations that explore life, spirituality and faith through a Christian lens. It creates a non-judgmental and open environment where it’s easy for anyone to join, whether they are an atheist, sceptic or just curious about faith, where they can explore questions of life with new friends. You are invited!

Alpha Online is for everyone. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

No pressure, no follow up and no charge.

What is an Alpha Online evening like?

Each Alpha evening features a 25-minute film. Designed to inspire and provoke questions, these short films explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity.

After the film we put guests into virtual breakout room and our leaders will lead conversations in small groups. The groups are designed to facilitate a space for people to talk openly about faith. These groups and the relationships created are at the centre of the Alpha experience.

When does it start?

Alpha Online starts on Tuesday 30 June, 8pm, for 6 weeks. Our Alpha Online is called South London Alpha and is being run by a collective of churches in South London.
