Services
Sunday 9.30
The 9.30am service is held at St Thomas' every Sunday. Booklets are provided to guide and support people to take part. The clergy wear traditional robes. Hymns and songs (mostly traditional but sometimes more contemporary) are accompanied mostly by the church organ and occasionally by piano.
Sunday 11.00
The 11.00am service is held at St Stephen’s every Sunday. These services are more informal. The worship is led by a large music group featuring a wide range of instruments and musicians of all ages, singing both traditional and modern songs.
Sunday Evening Service
Evening services are held at St Stephen’s at 7.00pm every Sunday during term-time. These services are quieter and more reflective, and offer an opportunity to focus on God before the start of a new week.
Teatime Praise
On the thirds Sunday of each month, at St Thomas’ at 5.00pm, Teatime Praise is a short (half hour) service for families with young children, followed by tea and cakes!
Prayers and Bears
Prayers and Bears is a short service at 10.00am every Wednesday morning at St Thomas’, especially for parents and carers with babies and toddlers.
Babies and Young Children
When children are baptised, we say: “We welcome you into the Lord's family.” Children are never too young to come to church. At church we belong to one big family. However, we do realise that bringing children, especially babies and toddlers to church can be hard work… ie, if a baby cries, yours is always the loudest (or so it seems at the time!).
