This Sunday—5th September

In the morning we start a new series on Pathways to Spiritual Growth, this week Growing in Prayer. In the evening we conclude our series on The Life You’ve Always Wanted, looking at Life with a Well-Ordered Heart – Developing Your Own “Rule of Life”.

Note: St Stephen’s Church is closed until 12th September for redevelopment. All services are at St Thomas’ Church.

 

Regular Services

Church of England logo St Thomas with St Stephen, Telford Park, is the Church of England parish in the triangle formed by the Balham, Clapham South and Streatham Hill railway stations in southwest London.

Services are held every Sunday at the two churches in the parish: St Thomas’ in Telford Avenue, SW2 4XW (directions) and St Stephen’s in Weir Road, SW12 0NU (directions). All are welcome!

  • 8.00am @St Thomas’ – Communion, 1st Sunday of each month only
  • 9.30am @St Thomas’ – Morning Worship, Communion except on 1st Sunday of each month
  • 11.00am @St Thomas’ – Morning Worship, Communion on 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month
  • 5.00pm @St Thomas’ – Teatime Praise, 1st Sunday of each month only: a short service (with tea & cakes!) for families with small children
  • 7.00pm @St Thomas’ – Evening Service.

And on every Wednesday:

  • 10.00am @St Thomas’ – Prayers and Bears: a service especially for parents and carers with babies and toddlers.

Please note: St Stephen’s Church is closed until 12th September whilst the building is refurbished. All services take place at St Thomas’.

 

Tell Me on a Sunday

On Saturday 18th September at 7.30pm at St Thomas’ Church, for one night only, Betsy Blatchley will be performing Tell Me on a Sunday, the one-woman musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black.

Redevelopment at St Stephen’s

20 June 2010—First St Thomas’, now St Stephen’s! St Stephen’s Church will be closed from 24th July for six weeks to undergo refurbishment of its community rooms.

Growing Leaders 2010–11

Growing Leaders is a course to help you grow in faith, in an understanding of how God calls us, and in leadership skills. You do not need to be a ‘leader’ to go on the course. This year it will run from September 2010 to July 2011 meeting once a month and with two weekend residentials. For more information talk to Simon Gates or Betsy Blatchley.
